The Contraceptive Pill – Is It Hurting Our Health?

I’ve been working with an Immunologist on the issue of the Contraceptive Pill and just how much it could be hurting our health!

What I’ve found out is downright scary and it infuriates me how we’re sold something which we’ve been conditioned to accept, but could really be causing us all kinds of health conditions!

Taking the contraceptive pill has been the ‘Norm’ for most women since it was first approved 50 years ago by the FDA.

We see our doctor, get a script and away we go… popping it daily, for decades.  Only to our unawares, this Pill is manipulating our natural health systems year after year… and how can that be a good thing?

In mainstream society, we aren’t educated on how The Pill can disrupt our hormones. This disruption can eventually create a world of trouble with our health.  The thing is, the hormonal system, is linked to every other system in our body, therefore The Pill, by mimicking our natural hormones, is capable of causing imbalance in the body and therefore dis-ease.

Hormones – Progesterone, Estrogen and Testosterone are our natural anti-inflammatory defenses, so if these hormones are ‘turned down’ and disrupted, we are missing out on one of our largest health defenses.

Studies are showing that this may be the reason why there have been such a large increase in autoimmune diseases and cancer.  People have been using the pill for 50 years now, so really… I hate to say it, but perhaps we are the ultimate guinea pigs in this case!

Of course, it’s very difficult to blame The Pill if we develop a health condition, as there are so many other factors involved, but should we be treating it so lightly?

Below, we can see for ourselves when the  Immunologist I referred to earlier, has shown me what he says are ‘typical results’ for a patient of his who goes off The Pill.

This I really want to share with you…

A patient had her hormone levels tested whilst she was on The Pill, after her immunologist suggested that it may be what has caused her health to deteriorate so much,  resulting in an autoimmune condition (Hashimotos.)

The test results had shown that all her hormones and her thyroid were abnormally low.

On his advice, she stopped taking The Pill and re-tested after 6 months.

Her hormones had jumped up to normal healthy levels.

Understandably, her hormones have probably never had a chance to be ‘normal’ as she started taking the pill when she was 18 and she’s now 38 years old, without children yet.

She has since noticed she has more energy, better sleep and a better general sense of well-being WITH HEALTHY HORMONE LEVELS, which will greatly assist her becoming pregnant in the near future.  Until then, she uses other methods of contraception such as the Copper IUD or the Billings Method.

We definitely need to be thinking ‘outside the square’ when it comes to taking the contraceptive pill.

I hope this helps!

P.S.  If there’s anyone in your life (friend, family, employee) who feels they want to do better with their health, please share this post. It might be the fresh perspective they need to feel better.
